We sold ProductMonk for $45k

That’s exactly how excited I am right now!

I have not been writing regularly and to tell you the truth, I have nothing much to share every week. We are purely in execution mode.

But today is different. I feel like sharing this with all of you folks.

ProductMonk has been acquired for a massive $45k (~Rs. 35 lakhs). This for a side hustle has been a great validation that if you add value at scale, the world will reward you.

It took me almost 25 days from listing it on Acquire.com and getting money in the bank account. I was very happy at first when I received the first offer and after a couple of rounds of happy, anxious, sad, and repeat. The deal went through. I think I aged through the process. 😂

But, yesterday when the money hit my account, I was exactly happy for 1 minute and then I was back to work. Now, you must be thinking that I am a miserable fuck that cannot enjoy the moment. Which is sometimes true too. 😅

See, it is a blessing and curse. Because of a lack of complacency, I can push myself, my team, and all the people around me to achieve greater things.

I am happy but not content. I want to do more, I have always imagined myself building kickass products, and leading grand teams. When some company declares an IPO, I always think how they must have felt. It is not about the money, but about that feeling that only very few people can enjoy.

This is surely a huge milestone in my life. A side hustle acquisition feels very empowering. It validates that we are doing something right. It validates that we are on the right track.

• Building a MicroSaaS (an AI wrapper), we just hired a developer yesterday

• Building and growing 4 different marketing agencies by the year-end
